Job Description
SANE’s are on call providing care to adult, adolescent and pediatric victims of sexual assault, including physical exam and forensic evidence collection.
Harborview Medical Center’s Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (HATC/SANE) is seeking a SANE. The SANE’s are on call providing care to adult, adolescent, and pediatric victims of sexual assault including physical exam and forensic evidence collection.
Responsibilities- Provide service at Harborview Medical Center and Valley Medical Center.
- Complete 40‑hour didactic SANE training and a comprehensive orientation.
- Be available for a minimum of six 12‑hour shifts per month.
- Respond to cases at all five hospitals served (Harborview, Swedish 1st Hill, Children’s, UW Medical Center, Valley) within 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Must live in King County and be within a 45‑minute drive time to Harborview.
- Two or more years working as an RN.
- Have or obtain a Washington state nursing license to practice or MSL.
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
On‑call, temporary position with alternate work shift. Minimum availability: six 12‑hour shifts per month.
Pay Range Minimum
: $45.59 hourly
Pay Range Maximum
: $84.47 hourly
Other Compensation
: $400.00 per case, $1.00/hr certification premium, $1.25/hr night shift differential, $5.00/hr evening shift differential, $4.00/hr weekend shift differential.
