The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical leadership, operational oversight, coaching, and supervision to frontline nursing teams within an assigned nursing program. Each nursing service area has a dedicated Nurse Supervisor who supports the delivery of high-quality patient care, staff development, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance. Nursing service areas include Family Medicine, Obstetrics (OB), Triage & Advice, Care Management, and Homeless & Housing Services.

This role ensures the delivery of safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient centered care and promotes consistent nursing practice across multiple care settings. Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services, the Nurse Supervisor partners and collaborates closely with other nurse leaders, clinical educator, medical providers, clinical and program leaders of operations, infection control, behavioral health, pharmacy, and other members of the interdisciplinary leadership team to advance integrated care and improve patient access, experience, quality, and outcomes.

The position will provide day-to-day clinical leadership to nurses, support workforce development, monitor clinical quality performance, and create an environment where nurses are empowered to practice at the top of their licensure. The Nurse Supervisor will maintain clinical competency and provide direct patient care to support patient access, staffing needs, clinical operations, and continuity of care.

Compensation:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Responsibilities
    • Lead, supervise, and mentor nursing staff by establishing clear expectations and overseeing hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, competency validation, performance management, and professional development.
    • Conduct clinical audits, competency assessments, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with nursing practice standards and quality expectations.
    • Participate in and contribute to quality, safety, compliance, regulatory, and nursing practice committees; support safety event reviews, root cause analyses, corrective action plans, and follow-up activities.
    • Support workforce planning, budget development, resource management, credentialing, documentation, regulatory and compliance related actives.
  • Operational Responsibilities
    • Oversee nursing operations, staffing, workflow design, care coordination, and resource allocation to support access, efficiency, and continuity of care.
    • Collaborate with Clinic Administrators, Site Medical Directors, operational leaders, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to address clinical and operational priorities.
    • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, using data and operational metrics to improve patient outcomes, access, safety, and workforce performance.
    • Lead change management, program development, and workflow improvement initiatives that advance nursing practice and organizational goals.
    • Travel between clinic sites to support nursing teams, patient care delivery, meetings, and operational priorities as needed.
  • Clinical Responsibilities
    • Ensure safe, equitable, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across clinics, triage services, the Patient Contact Center, and community-based programs.
