Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular ICU RN for a Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of CVICU experience and prior travel assignment history.

• Active WA RN license or compact license, pending license accepted
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required, open heart experience preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Hands-on experience with ventilator management, IV starts, and PA (Swan-Ganz) lines required
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and LVAD/RVAD devices
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management required
• Experience with pacers and post-op cardiac care preferred
• Lung and heart transplant experience preferred
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Cardio-thoracic ICU patient population with 1:1 patient ratios
• Day shift ) or night shift ) 4x12 hour schedules available
• Weekend work required unless otherwise stated on posted schedule
• Floating required within the hospital to other ICU units, no floating to sister hospitals
• EPIC charting system used
• No on-call requirements
• Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients
• Any scrub color accepted; scrubs provided for OR personnel
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays during assignment
• RTO limited to 7 days in November/December, spanning no more than 1 holiday
• RTO cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Candidates with prior employment at this health system must have a minimum 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
