American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float RN for a Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital, requiring 3+ years ICU experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details- Critical Care Float Pool role floating across all critical care units within scope
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Epic EMR required
- Telemetry monitoring required with proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management (competency test administered)
- Active WA RN license or compact license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
- 3+ years of critical care experience in a Level I Trauma Center required (2+ years considered with strong trauma background)
- Recent ICU experience within the last year required
- Neuro ICU experience required plus an additional ICU specialty (MICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or CVICU)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Academic/teaching hospital experience required
- References must be from a direct supervisor, not a charge RN
- Required skills include ventilator management, IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation
- Preferred skills include ICP monitoring and PA line management
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (eve/day counts as one holiday set);
Christmas RTO not available - RTO must be submitted prior to facility submission, with minimal additional RTO accommodated after offer
- RTO cannot be requested during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Any solid color scrubs accepted; unit also provides light blue scrubs
- First-time travelers not accepted for this role
- Prior UW/Harborview staff must have 18 months separation before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
- COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
