American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Magnet-designated, Level I trauma teaching hospital, requiring telemetry proficiency and a WA or compact RN license.

• Work in the ICU (7MB MCICU Med/CORICU) at a Level I trauma teaching hospital
• Patient population includes 70% medical cases (sepsis, PNA, ARDS, organ failure, DKA) and 30% cardiology cases (heart failure, post-arrest, arrhythmias)
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Patient ratios are 1:2 on days and 1:3 on nights
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required within scope to other ICU units and boarder areas
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system

• Active WA RN license or compact license with required documentation
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must pass a telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management test
• Required skills include vent management, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Preferred skills include IV starts, ICP monitoring, PA lines, and Level I trauma experience
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions

• Provide critical care nursing support to medical and cardiology ICU patients
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias as part of routine care
• Any solid color scrubs accepted; facility also provides light blue scrubs for the unit
• Experienced travelers are given priority, though first-time travelers may be considered with manager screening for strong experience
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
• Prior UW staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a travel clinician
