** DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
** Provides professional nursing care while supporting daily operations and team leadership within the unit. Serves as a clinical resource, supports staff development, and partners with the Nurse Manager to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
** PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Deliver safe, high-quality patient care (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
* Coordinate care across departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
* Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff
* Support staff education, onboarding, and ongoing competency development
* Assist with daily operations, including patient flow and staffing coordination
* Promote effective communication among patients, families, and care team
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain standards of care
* Provide guidance, feedback, and support to team members
* Serve as charge nurse as assigned and participate in committees as needed
* Assist with unit goals, program development, and process improvements
** REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
*** Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or valid Multistate license.
* Surgical Scrub experience strongly preferred
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Masters Preferred
* Minimum of two years of professional surgical nursing experience or equivalent education/experience.
* Demonstrated experience as an Operating Room registered nurse, with proficiency in perioperative nursing practice
* Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
