American Traveler is hiring a Cardio-thoracic ICU/CCU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of CVICU experience and travel experience.
Details- CVICU/CCU setting at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Night shift, 4x12 hours )
- Weekend shifts required unless posted schedule states otherwise
- Floating within the hospital to other ICU units required
- No floating to sister hospitals
- EPIC charting system used
- Active WA RN license or compact license (pending license accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Relias EKG tele test compliance required
- Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in CVICU including open heart cases
- Travel experience required; strong candidates with similar experience may be considered
- Experience with vents, IV starts, PA lines required
- Proficiency with pacers, Swan-Ganz catheters, and post-op care required
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and VAD (LVAD/RVAD) required
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
- Lung and heart transplant experience preferred
- Provide critical care nursing to cardiothoracic ICU patients requiring advanced cardiac monitoring and device management
- Located within a large teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds
- RTO must be kept to a minimum and cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks or orientation week
- Must work 2 of 3 holidays, with up to 7 days off allowed in Nov/Dec covering no more than 1 holiday
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Prior UW staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
