American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Level III NICU requiring at least 3 years of NICU experience at a teaching hospital and a WA or compact RN license.

• Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• 54-bed unit serving as a regional referral center for high-risk infants
• Patient population primarily very low birth weight premature infants requiring ventilatory support
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Required to work 2 variable weekend shifts per month, scheduled as needed
• Must be flexible to pick up additional shifts occasionally based on unit needs
• Floating required within the hospital to Mother Baby unit to care for babies only
• No floating to sister hospitals
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as permanent staff required
• At least 3 years of NICU experience at a Level III unit required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions

• Provide specialized nursing care to high-risk and very low birth weight premature infants in a state-of-the-art unit
• Prior UW staff must be separated from the facility for 18 months before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
• RTO limited to 1 week maximum and cannot be requested during orientation week
