American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 3 years critical care experience and prior travel assignments.

• Cardiac ICU setting caring for overflow patients from MICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU with a cardiology focus
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• 13-week assignment length
• Every other weekend required, with flexibility expected for unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other ICUs and boarder areas expected
• Epic charting system required

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of critical care experience required
• At least 2 prior travel contracts required (will consider candidates with 1 contract)
• Level I Trauma facility experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and titration
• Experience with CVP monitoring, IABP, Impella, and post cardiac cath/intervention care preferred
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• References must be from a direct supervisor, not a charge RN

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac ICU patients with potential overflow responsibilities across multiple ICU specialties
• Unit has 23 total staffed beds
• Scrubs must be solid blue color, facility-provided or candidate's own
• Facility is Magnet-designated, teaching, and Level I Trauma
• Preference given to candidates with high-volume, high-acuity, teaching, and trauma facility experience
• Manager prefers to avoid scheduling travel pairs
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• RTO limited to no more than 6 days, with no requests accommodated during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• Prior UW/facility staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
