Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions, including post-operative open heart surgery and stroke patients with cardiac involvement. The role requires experience in telemetry, vascular surgery, and open heart procedures, with responsibilities encompassing complex patient management and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details- Required Qualifications:
Valid compact license in the relevant state, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, at least 2 years of experience in surgical telemetry, open heart surgery, and vascular patient care, knowledge of Epic electronic medical record system, and ability to float across units as required. - Schedule:
Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week. - Additional Information:
Experience with open heart post-operative care within the first 1-5 days, chest tubes, sternal precautions, VAD, TAVR, and other specialized structural heart support; proficiency in blood product administration, dysrhythmia management, and use of specialized equipment such as chest tubes, heparin, insulin, and telemetries. Candidates must be flexible to float to similar units and adhere to unit-specific patient ratios (4:1 or 5:1 at midnight). - Submission Requirements:
