American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for an 8-week night shift contract requiring high-risk L&D experience and WA or compact RN licensure.

• Work in a high-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit with 4 ORs, 31 beds/rooms
• Unit supports midwifery clients, private OBs, Adult Recovery Services substance recovery patients, and community care clinics
• Average daily census of 15 patients with 500-600 deliveries per month
• Night shift schedule: 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule posted every 6 weeks based on unit needs
• Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Float required to Postpartum/Antepartum units and possibly sister facilities providing Mother/Baby care
• Epic EMR used for charting (hard requirement)
• Electronic fetal monitoring utilized on the unit

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery and providing newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Experience circulating for deliveries, including newborn assessments, eye care, and Vitamin K/thigh injections
• Experience with Labor and Delivery management, amnioinfusion, high-risk and vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation, forceps/vacuum extraction, and hemorrhage/shock management
• Experience administering Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Epic charting system experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Must provide SSN and DOB for compliance

• Role includes functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery and circulating for deliveries as hard stop requirements
• Responsibilities include newborn assessments, eye care, Vitamin K and thigh injections, and continued newborn care until postpartum transfer
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies for local candidate consideration
• Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month separation, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates must disclose any past employment history with Providence facilities (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be granted
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region
