Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Seattle, WA | Acute Care

Contract | 8-Week Assignment | Nights, 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30)

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit serving a diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care patients
• Circulate in the OR — required for this role
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum — required for this role
• Perform newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Float to Postpartum and Antepartum as needed, with potential float to sister facilities offering Mother/Baby care

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk L&D experience required
• Ability to circulate in the OR is a hard-stop requirement
• Ability to function as Baby Nurse during delivery is a hard-stop requirement
• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  BLS, NRP
• Proficiency with EPIC (hard-stop) and electronic fetal monitoring
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; locals are welcome to apply

• ACLS certification preferred
• AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced environments with high delivery volume
• First-time travelers are accepted

• Join a dynamic, high-volume L&D unit with 4 ORs and approximately 500–600 deliveries per month, offering meaningful clinical experience in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Staffing practices follow AWHONN guidelines, reflecting a commitment to quality patient care and professional standards
