Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Cardiology

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Rehab position requiring 2 years of RN experience and WA or compact licensure.

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Knowledge of heart rhythms and ability to perform targeted cardiac assessments
• Cardiology background or experience in ICU, ED, Telemetry, or Cath/EP Lab preferred
• BSN not required
• Driver's license required at time of consideration

• Acute care setting in a Cardiac Rehab unit
• Cares for patients post cardiovascular intervention, including cardiac surgery, Cath Lab, EP Lab, vascular surgery, and structural heart patients
• Sees 30-40 patients per day across Standard and Intensive Cardiac Rehab programs
• 4:1 nurse to patient ratio during exercise sessions
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 4/10s schedule, , typically Tuesday through Friday
• No weekend, holiday, or call/standby requirements
• No block scheduling or self-scheduling
• Perform manual blood pressures consistently during exercise sessions
• Support patient education through Q&A sessions on healthy living and nutrition videos
• No monitor techs on unit; RNs are responsible for reading heart rhythm strips
• No onsite providers or charge nurse support
• Unit/department specific orientation provided
• Dress code: royal blue or light gray pants with royal blue or white tops
