TVES is seeking a compassionate, detail‑oriented Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our Surgery team
. This is a great opportunity to advance your skills in a specialty setting while working in a supportive, collaborative, privately owned, and employee‑focused hospital.
As a Surgery LVT at TVES, you’ll play an essential role in delivering exceptional perioperative care. You’ll support patients through pre‑op, anesthesia, surgery, and recovery, communicate closely with clients, and help maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized surgical environment. Our technicians are trusted partners in patient care, client communication, and maintaining the high standards that define our teaching‑hospital culture.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct patient histories, pre‑exams, and recheck appointments.
- Prepare patients for surgery; assist the surgeon during soft‑tissue and orthopedic procedures.
- Administer and monitor anesthesia; develop anesthetic protocols.
- Perform phlebotomy, IV catheterization, radiographs, and lab work.
- Manage post‑operative care and client communication.
- Maintain surgical suites, equipment, sterile packs, and inventory.
- Support documentation, medical record accuracy, and upholding our PEAK Principles.
What We’re Looking For:
- WA State LVT license.
- 3+ years in veterinary specialty (surgery strongly preferred).
- Strong anesthesia experience and sterile technique.
- Familiarity with orthopedic equipment is a plus!
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Growth mindset and desire to work in a teaching environment.
Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits:
- As an emergency and specialty hospital, all team members participate in a fair rotation of holidays.
- Hourly compensation is based on experience and skill level ($33 – $45/hr).
