Position OverviewWe are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our expanding team and help us provide excellent experiences for our clients and their pets. By joining our organization as a Veterinary Technician, you will have access to a peer network of over 5,000 professionals, a continuing education allowance, and various learning and development programs to support you in achieving your career goals.
Responsibilities- Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms
- Perform laboratory procedures including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecal tests
- Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members
- Administer medications (PO/IV/SUBQ/IM), restraining patients, applying and maintaining bandages
- Proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring
- Perform dental prophylaxis
- Other tasks as assigned to support veterinary care
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state
- Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology
