Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician.

LVT I Pay: $25.63 - $36.81 / hour

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Sign-on bonus: $3,000 for qualified candidates!

Note: This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system.

As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you will:

Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).

Calculate all medical math, including advanced calculations and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).

Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.

Prepare for MRI and CT procedures.

Discharge neuro patients, including client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc. Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards.

Perform callbacks and refill medications.

Gather patient histories and communicate findings to clinicians.

Perform physical exams, including vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, etc.

Understand normal vital parameters.

Perform IVC placement and venipuncture.

Operate and troubleshoot all brands of intravenous fluid pumps.

Restrain patients during consults and diagnostics.

Lift 40-50 lbs independently.
