Assembly / Dimensional Inspector III (C Shift)

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance.
This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

- C Shift: Friday–Sunday 5am‑5pm
- Perform daily part inspection utilizing micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
- Use Verisurf and Modus software suite for inspection equipment (Absolute Arm, Revo CMM and Leica Tracker).
- Oversee final product quality inspection in compliance with corporate/customer standards and requirements; identify ongoing quality issues, prevent potential production issues, and make suggestions for improvement.
- Perform inspection of purchased parts, materials, components, and equipment as materials are received from vendors or subcontractors. Determine or assist in determining methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for inspection.
- Coordinate communication between key stakeholders on an irregular basis, call meetings to address inspection issues.
- Knowledge and utilization of nonconformance processes.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in dimensional inspection.
- Outstanding blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M‑1994, 2009 or 2018 standard.
- Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high‑value components.
- Strong computer software skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Suite Programs.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates.
- Experience using Revo CMM, Absolute Arm, Faro Arm, V‑Stars, Laser Tracker, Roundest or similar very helpful.
- Basic machining knowledge.
- Experience with ATOS Professional/GOM Inspect/Verisurf software.
- Experience with 3D scanning/Bluelight/ATOS/AS1 Scanner or similar.
- Experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components preferred.
- Aerospace quality inspection experience.
- CAD software knowledge.
- Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight‑critical hardware.
