Lab Aide; Study

Responsibilities

Under close supervision of members of the lab, the person in this position will:

• Perform and optimize documented data analysis pipelines for scRNA-seq.
• Use software, self-generated programs/scripts, and/or databases to gather, store, manipulate, and analyze research data.
• Assist lab members prepare for and conduct laboratory experiments (i.e., wet lab).
• Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments and results.

• Enrollment in an undergraduate institution is required, preferably in microbiology related majors (e.g., microbiology, immunology).
• Work Study eligibility

• Completion of college-level coursework in biology, biostatistics, and/or bioinformatics.
• Familiarity with Unix.
• Experience in programing languages (e.g. Python, Perl, R).
• Previous or current laboratory experience (i.e., wet lab).
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Motivation, adaptability, and ability to be a team player.
• Great attention to details, well-organized, self-motivated, and able to efficiently manage time and experiments.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.76 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
