We advance science so that we all have more time with the people we love. Roche Diagnostics acquired Stratos Genomics in 2020 for its unique chemistry that advances DNA sequencing by nanopore. We are seeking driven, self‑motivated, and passionate individuals looking to start a career in a fast‑paced lab. The position will play an integral role in day‑to‑day operations as we develop our novel DNA sequencing technology.
This position will be based at Roche Diagnostics Seattle. To be considered, your application must include a cover letter outlining why you want to work with us, your specific technical interest in SBX technology, and how you would contribute.
- Order and track laboratory supplies.
- Maintain and repair equipment and pipetman.
- Perform routine laboratory maintenance and upkeep, including glassware and vial cleaning.
- Maintain the lab’s cleanliness and organization.
- Interpret directions into appropriate and efficient actions.
- Develop and propose improved processes to fulfill the above functions.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to Roche Diagnostics Seattle’s policies and support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
- Previous laboratory or research experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including experience with Excel.
- Very good organization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Ability to listen to directions and execute them accurately.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organization levels.
- Open to feedback and continuous growth.
- Safety‑first mindset when working with Roche Diagnostics Seattle’s property.
You have a Bachelor’s degree focused in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics or Engineering. You have previous laboratory or research experience. Relocation benefits are not provided.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Seattle, Washington is $37,800‑$70,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
