About

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, imaginative Client Executive Chef who shares our vision for reinvented lunch and embraces diverse nutritional needs. The Executive Chef will create unforgettable food experiences, elevate dishes, and develop valuable business skills.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design, prepare and coordinate unique weekly menus for all dietary needs and restrictions
  • Spearhead execution of new product lines and culinary practices
  • Participate in critical discussions regarding eater satisfaction and business growth with the client
  • Act as liaison between the business team and culinary team regarding client details and feedback
  • Hire kitchen staff
  • Manage, coach and train the kitchen staff
  • Own supply ordering and inventory; oversee COGS
  • Monitor and manage portion control and food costs
  • Execute strict quality control and assurance
  • Ensure kitchen operations meet company and facility standards
  • Comply with and enforce sanitary regulations and safety standards

  • Has 1‑3 years of kitchen leadership experience
  • Enjoys exercising creativity in menu development
  • Understands diverse cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
  • Is a natural leader in practice and attitude
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Is comfortable being client‑facing, can present confidently and remain calm in pressured situations
  • Thinks quickly and critically under pressure
  • Is willing to learn and adopt business needs and practices
  • Is comfortable managing, organizing, and communicating using technology
  • Is experienced with Google applications (Gmail, Google Drive) and Microsoft Office

Eligibility

This position requires Serv Safe Food Manager certification.

Work Environment

This position is based in a commercial kitchen.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay Range: $80,000‑$90,000 USD per year (Seattle).

Employment at Sifted is at will, meaning either the company or the employee may terminate this employment relationship at any time with or without cause or notice.
