Work Schedule- Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 6 am–2:30 pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 6 am–2:30 pm
Nutrition and Food Services department supports Harborview’s mission by delivering extraordinary experiences with compassionate evidence‑based care and fresh, nutritious food for patients, families, and the community.
Position Highlights- Promote excellence in guest relations and support the hospitality model, and promote the mission, vision and values of the UW Medicine Health System.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares accurate, high‑quality food for patients to order following standardized recipes and procedures.
- Keeps station and cooking equipment clean following all infection control procedures.
- Begins and ends tray assembly including service ware, condiments, hot and cold items as they are finished by Line and Cold Pantry Cooks.
- Identifies product needs and requisitions items required to prepare tray assembly.
- Notifies Sous Chef in advance of expected shortages.
- Prepares all lunch/dinner orders accurately and efficiently following food preparation procedures.
- Possession of, or eligibility for, a food handler’s permit.
- One year of experience as a Food Service Worker; or equivalent education/experience.
Pay Range Minimum: $44,256.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum: $57,480.00 annual
