Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Sous Chef based in Seattle, WA. The Assistant Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality standards are met, and leading kitchen staff during service. Responsibilities include assisting in menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The role requires leadership, creativity, and collaboration with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including training and motivating kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Culinary diploma or degree is preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel kitchen is an advantage
