The Donation Station Attendant is responsible for accepting donated goods from the public and providing excellent customer service.

Pay Rate: $/hour DOE

• Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner; unloads donations from vehicles and offer tax receipts.
• Evaluate donated items to determine if acceptable for donation.
• Sort donations into assigned categories and pack safely into container(s).
• Inform supervisor of status of station, container footage, and condition.
• Maintain accurate donor tallies and other support duties.
• Maintain accurate and timely loading check lists.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Identify and properly dispose of garbage and process recyclable material.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
• If applicable:
  Consistent and safe execution of duties associated with forklift operation when certified to Seattle Goodwill standards .*
• Must maintain reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• No previous experience or education required
• Ability to read, speak and write English and perform basic math skills
• Ability to work with a diverse team

* Forklift certification optional; must meet eligibility requirements.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 40-60 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; balance; bend and reach with hands and arms; use feet to operate foot pedal operation; and talk or hear.
