Retail Keyholder (Store 0817) – Join Game Stop to deliver outstanding guest service in a vibrant retail environment.
Pay$22.15 - $24.90 per hour.
Responsibilities- Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet, respond, assist, inform about promotions, recommend items, apply selling behaviors, express gratitude, and prioritize guests.
- Support the overall shopping environment, visual and operational elements, and nurture relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
- Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) computer system.
- Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, answering calls promptly, courteously, and professionally.
- Promote Game Stop’s unique guest benefits, such as the title reservations program and the Pro Rewards guest loyalty program.
- Ensure the store, including restrooms, is clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines and that fixtures and equipment are in working order.
- Complete Omni‑Channel orders daily.
- Safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness, safety best practices, and making bank deposits when required.
- Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise on shelves and fixtures, and move products from the stock room to the front of the store to ensure all products are represented and organized on the selling floor.
- Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative and operational duties.
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system; ensure closeout paperwork and bank deposit slips are completed correctly.
- Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages, record them in the POS system, and report any issues to the Store Manager / Store Manager 2 / Assistant Store Manager.
- Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately and promptly, ensuring boxes are properly labeled and include packing lists.
- Visually inspect associates’, and leaders’ packages and/or belongings at store closing or at the end of a shift.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
- Consistently adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Observe associate performance and provide timely and appropriate feedback to store management.
- Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
- Video‑game knowledge preferred.
- Must be able to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to ten hours per day.

- Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication and listening skills, both in person and on the phone; bilingual English/Spanish speaking and writing skills preferred.

- Meet associate performance expectations, including attendance, professional dress, and grooming requirements.
- Operate the POS computer system and properly complete the required paperwork.
- Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and alphabetizing skills.
- Self‑motivation and ability to work as a team to complete necessary tasks in a timely manner.
- Problem‑solving skills and judgment abilities.
- Follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Deliver bank deposits following loss prevention safety guidelines.
- Work a flexible schedule, including extended hours/days as necessary, such as nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum of three days per week availability.
- Remain effective under pressure and handle stress in a manner acceptable to others and the organization.
