The OpportunityWe’re looking for a Fire Sprinkler Sales & Estimator to help us grow our business across the Puget Sound region. This role combines relationship‑building with technical estimating — perfect for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, walking jobsites, and turning opportunities into projects.
You’ll manage the full cycle: identifying opportunities, engaging customers, scoping and pricing projects, and helping deliver solutions that meet code, budget, and customer expectations. This isn’t a desk‑only job — you’ll be out in the field building trust with customers, backed by a team of designers, project managers, and installers who want to see your projects succeed.
What You’ll Do- Generate Sales – Identify and pursue new opportunities across service, retrofit, remodel, and new installation projects.
- Engage Customers – Build strong relationships through face‑to‑face visits, site walks, and ongoing communication.
- Estimate Projects – Review plans, assess water supply data, determine pipe sizing, and prepare accurate proposals.
- Deliver Proposals – Present estimates to customers in a clear, compelling way that highlights value and trust.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Partner with designers, project managers, and installers to ensure projects are scoped and executed seamlessly.
- Stay Informed – Keep up with industry trends, code requirements, and competitor activity to position Columbia Fire ahead of the curve.
- Report Progress – Maintain a healthy pipeline, track opportunities in Hub Spot (CRM), and participate in sales meetings.
- 5+ years of fire protection sales experience required.
- Ability to read construction drawings, identify coverage requirements, and prepare complete estimates (labor, materials, rentals, permitting, subcontractors, contingencies).
- Excellent communication skills – comfortable on jobsites and with executives alike.
- Tech savvy with Microsoft Office; experience with Building Connected and Hub Spot CRM preferred.
- Customer‑first mindset with proven ability to build long‑term relationships.
- Valid driver’s license; must be comfortable traveling locally for customer visits and site walks.
- Willingness to complete post‑offer drug screen and background check.
- Base Pay: $75,000 — $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Incentive Pay:
Sales incentive plan based on gross margin % and contract size (details provided in plan document). Incentives are calculated three times per year, with payments scheduled in August, November, and post‑year‑end audit.
