Seafood Sales Executive Position

Our client is a globally acclaimed, multi-generation, family-run seafood company with a rich history spanning nearly 75 years. With over 20 fishing vessels, fisheries, processing, and distribution operations across both the East and West Coasts, they are a primary producer of sustainable, wild-caught, and imported farm-raised scallops, all three domestic squid species, as well as fresh and frozen salmon, Atlantic cod, monkfish, black sea bass, and summer flounder.

Job Description

Our client is seeking remote sales representatives to bolster their domestic sales. Their clientele primarily consists of wholesalers, processors, manufacturers, regional and national retail grocery and club stores, food service distributors, national restaurant chains, and international businesses. The company is particularly interested in expanding their retail and food service distribution sectors.

Responsibilities:
  • Inherit a few accounts and start your own book of business.
  • Generate your leads using personal resources as well as provided tools such as CRM, cold calling, Seafax, etc.
  • Prospect new clients, go through the discovery process, close business, convert lines, add SKUs, and consult on new products (both private labeled and R&D).
  • Utilize existing merchandisers, brokers, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in prospecting, cold calling, warm calling, attending trade shows, lead sharing with non-competing reps, cross-selling, referrals, association groups, centers of influence.
  • Experience with private label, commodity, and value-added frozen sales.
  • Experience selling by the "container" to at least one of either retail grocery, food service distribution (specialty and broad liners), international business, or large national restaurant chain-business.
  • Experience selling seafood program business.
