Postdoctoral Research Scientist (Seattle, WA)

IEH Laboratories, a leader in food safety, is hiring a Post‑doctoral Research Scientist in Food Microbiology or a related field to join its Special Projects and consulting team in Seattle, WA.

• Conduct bench work, proposal and report writing, data analysis, and general laboratory duties as required by daily tasks and projects.
• Assist with client travel assignments, including site visits, environmental sampling, sample shipping, on‑site validation studies, inoculation work, and observation of manufacturing and processing practices.
• Collaborate with consulting team leadership on project scoping, execution, and client communication.
• Occasionally work weekends, extended hours, or outside normal laboratory schedules as project needs dictate.

• PhD in Food Microbiology, Food Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to advance food microbiology/safety and food science initiatives.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends, extended hours, and travel; ability to be present in the lab outside normal schedule.
• Strong analytical skills, teamwork, and communication abilities.

Pay range: $78,000 – $80,000 annually.
