OverviewPosition open until filled. This is a part-time temporary position.
Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Director of Safety and Security, the Campus Safety and Security Officer will assist full-time security staff with access control, customer service, and crime prevention duties.

Hourly RateHourly rate for this position: $24.13/hr - $31.16/hr (Depending on experience).
Work AuthorizationApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

What You Will Be Working On- Monitor various entrances for unauthorized entry.
- Assist with emergency evacuations.
- Provide campus information and directions to visitors.
- Answer Campus Security phone and provide assistance.
- Dispatch Campus Security Officers to requests for service.
- Assist with unlocking and securing various areas on campus.
- Receive and log lost and found property.
- Monitor CCTV camera equipment to detect irregular activity.
- Complete daily activity log.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess the ability to administer first aid/CPR and become first aid/CPR certified within the first six months of employment. Emergency Medical Responder training is preferred.
- Familiarity with the incident command system and the mechanics of organizing and implementing tabletop emergency management exercises.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to perform a range of physical motions, exerting up to 25 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and stooping; and traversing up and down stairs.
- Ability to operate office equipment.
- Ability to read and verify data and prepare various materials.
- Ability to exchange information on the phone or in person.
