Job Summary

The Regional Safety/Security Manager (RSM) is responsible for oversight, coaching, and educating regional WFS locations on WFS standard operating procedures and policies. This includes compliance with Stations Site Security and Safety programs as well as interaction with various U.S. Governmental agencies within the scope of the position. Regional Safety/Security Managers will demonstrate excellent knowledge of all pertinent safety and security regulations and recommended standard operating procedures in regard to Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recommendations and regulations.

RSM’s need a strong commitment to standard operating procedures and knowledge of appropriate safety and security processes for cargo warehousing/handling and airport passenger and cargo ground operations and their associated policies and procedures within the aviation environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with station management teams regarding emerging safety and security concerns.
  • Document and submit reports for region of responsibility to Directors of Safety, Security.
  • Meet customer/airline/airport representatives when directed as needed for safety/security related issues.
  • Travel to respond to accidents/incidents as directed by Regional Safety or Security Directors.
  • Assist and coach stations to complete required daily and weekly inspections and audits as mandated by the company and department.
  • Verify stations in assigned region complete all reports as required by any government agency or official airport authority.
  • Attend and facilitate safety and security meetings with other managers and operations to assist and inform of all safety or security related issues being discussed.
  • Create incident reports for management on regional safety and security status.
  • Compile data to submit to Directors of Safety and/or Security to assist in proposals for improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Perform independent station audits with focus on safety, security, and quality policies & procedures.
  • Ensure agreed Site‑Specific Security and Safety Plans are up to date and compliant.
  • Assist on special projects and events as needed or perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
  • Two years' or equivalent experience in airline/cargo safety or security operations.
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g., CCTV).
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
    • Excellent knowledge of safety and security protocols and procedures.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
