• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
• Conduct regular patrols
• Monitor activities
• Surveillance
• Access Control
• Safety escorts
• Use provided communication devices
• Represent SSNW’s brand
• Wear the issued uniform properly
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
• Complete Incident Reports
• Work with local law enforcement and emergency services
• Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department’s procedures
• Other duties as described in the Post Orders

• Valid driver’s license
• Clean criminal and driving record
• Availability for graveyard and weekend shifts
• Preferred 2–4 years combined experience (Military, Law Enforcement, and/or Security)
• Smartphone to access scheduling, clocking, and reporting apps
• Reliable transportation
• Honesty and integrity
• Ability to work non‑traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to obtain a Washington State Unarmed Security Guard License
• Ability to react appropriately in high‑stress situations

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred prior public safety and/or military experience
• Knowledge of security protocols and equipment

• Conduct regular walking foot patrols
• Stand 8–12 hours a day
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
