As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol in Seattle, WA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees. You will respond to situations with professionalism, provide exceptional customer service and communication, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail locations, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter spaces to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential loss-prevention concerns.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and a baton is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
