Field Service Technician

Accountability

Install and repair machines and accessories at customer site. Provide Technical information on operation or repair of machines and accessories.

• Proactively attain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
• Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair.
• Train customers on functions of the machines.
• Learn new machine features and accessories as they become available.
• Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed.
• Travel is required; assignments will require overnight or multiple nights stay.
• Utilize various test equipment for troubleshooting purposes, including indicators, test bars, clamp force, gages, etc.

• 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly.
• 3-7 years of experience in field service.
• High School Diploma.

• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to work independently or in a group while completing necessary tasks.
• Ability to understand PLC.
• Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.
• General computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis; heavier lifting in excess of 50lbs on a periodic basis.
• Problem‑solving ability depending on situation.
• Sound writing and reporting skills.
• Strong people skills.

The salary range for this position is $70,926 to $109,025.
