Project Manager, Heavy Equipment Operator, Construction Labor ​/ Trades

Overview

This position is responsible for managing the site construction of synthetic turf sport fields for athletic complexes. Multiple state travel is required to manage subcontractors, project costs, and turf installations.

• Attend all meetings for assigned fields
• Keep progress moving on the construction site
• Ensure all sites are safe and following OSHA regulations
• Maintain an honest and professional relationship with the owners of all projects assigned
• Order and inventory all materials delivered to site
• Ensure any grading is at its right elevation and slope
• Solve all problems in a quick but correct manner so quality is maintained
• Ensure everything in the scope of work is being done correctly and at its highest quality
• Review all plans and address any detail that may be incorrect or contradict our scope of work
• Order erosion control, fabric, drainage pipe, fittings, sports equipment (goal posts, soccer goals, etc.), turf, sand, and rubber
• Check subgrades to be sure the elevations are correct before construction crew arrives on site

• Education:
  
  HS diploma/GED required
• Experience:
  
  5+ years’ experience turf installation and installation supervisor
• Courses/Certifications/Training: excavator and skid loader experience; experience with precision lasers; ability to check grades, slopes and elevations; ability to build and install all sports equipment (goal posts, soccer goals, sports netting, sleeves, shot put pad and netting system, discus pad and netting system, hang flag poles); ability to correct any failure in the underdrain (turf and stone); highly skilled at all equipment, layout, sewing, cutting, gluing, and repairs;
  
  ability to fine tune and string line the finish stone on a base
