Lead Locksmith Technician
Reports ToGeneral Manager or Franchise Owner
Key Areas of ResponsibilityThe Lead Locksmith Technician is integral to Fly Lock Security Solutions – Seattle, requiring strong technical skill, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Perform service work orders for commercial clients, including door hardware installations and repairs.
- Install, repair, and maintain access control hardware.
- Re‑key commercial locks, perform pining of locks, and create master key systems.
- Interpret written, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
- Troubleshoot variable situations and recommend best solutions to clients.
- Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment.
- Effectively make best recommendations to commercial clients.
- Receive verbal instructions from management or clients/customers.
- Carry out small projects as directed by management.
- Complete and submit paperwork accurately and on time.
- Minimum of 5 years of technical, hands‑on field experience in locksmithing, access control, door hardware, and related trades.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with customers, partners, technicians, and company staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously.
- Good organizational skills.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
- Able to work safely on ladders.
- Ability to drive in compliance with company vehicle policy.
- Provide a high level of timely and accurate customer service.
- Communicate effectively with clients to determine needed services.
- Respond to general inquiries from customers/clients.
- Fluently understand, speak, and write English.
- Push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Kneel, crouch, and stoop as needed.
- Reach above and below the shoulders.
- Use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull.
- Climb a ladder and work above ground.
- Withstand external weather conditions year‑round.
