Senior Boiler Technician (Seattle Metro) Snapshot / Role Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Boiler Technician in Seattle Metro to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of high-pressure steam systems.
ImpactKeep boiler systems running safely and within code.
Deliver steady steam output for essential building operations.
Improve system efficiency through precision combustion tuning.
Support full compliance with safety, emissions, and inspection standards.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers and related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on burners, pumps, and controls.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
- Adjust combustion settings for performance and compliance.
- Log all maintenance and system operations.
- Manage water chemistry and perform scheduled blowdowns.
- Follow LOTO, OSHA, and site‑specific safety procedures.
- Assist with inspections and third‑party vendor coordination.
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years working with high‑pressure steam boilers (Cleaver‑Brooks, Miura, Raypak, Babcock & Wilcox).
- Solid knowledge of boiler controls, combustion systems, and ASME codes.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair experience.
Nice‑to‑Haves:
- EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- OSHA 30‑hour safety certification.
- Technical training in HVAC or mechanical systems.
- Experience with boiler management or building automation systems.
