** Position Summary
** F5 is seeking a skilled
** Software Engineer III
** to contribute to the delivery of
** F5’s AI Gateway
** and its integrations across F5’s existing hardware, software, and hybrid offerings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, curiosity to explore new domains, and the ability to design and build reliable, scalable systems in a collaborative environment.

This role involves working on distributed systems and hybrid deployment models while balancing tradeoffs between monolithic and microservice architectures. The engineer will work closely with senior technical staff and architects to implement systems that can be consumed across a range of new and legacy platforms.
** Primary Responsibilities**- Design, implement, and test components of large-scale distributed systems.  - Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and other engineers to define and deliver features.  - Develop software components primarily in
** Go**, with flexibility to use other languages as needed.  - Write and maintain technical documentation for internal developers.  - Participate in design and code reviews, ensuring adherence to quality and performance standards.  - Partner with project managers to estimate tasks, assess risks, and discuss tradeoffs in scope and timeline.  - Support the development and continuous improvement of CI/CD, testing, and observability practices.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
