Full Stack Cloud Developer

Customer-facing Full time Remote $ 120k-140k

We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Full Stack Cloud Developer to join our pedestrian network group. You’ll be part of the foundational team, building and scaling our solutions nationally and internationally. Our ideal candidate has a passion for developing innovative GIS (Geographic Information System) solutions, excellent customer-facing skills, and expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, with experience in event-driven microservices architectures.

This role involves direct customer interaction, from gathering requirements to successful delivery of projects.

Gaussian Solutions LLC is a product and services company that is modernizing Geospatial Analysis and Transit Data Pipelines. By leveraging the advances in Artificial Intelligence, especially Computer Vision and Deep Learning applied towards aerial and LiDAR imagery, and Large Language Models, we bring unprecedented capabilities to digitize, metricize and represent physical infrastructure. Our current focus is on City Infrastructure with an emphasis on pedestrian and bike transportation networks.

Remote – Gaussian Solutions seeks candidates in the Pacific Time Zone or those able to work primarily overlapping hours with the Pacific Time Zone. Must be available for at least two weekly meetings accommodating an international team.

• Customer Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs, gather requirements, and provide technical solutions. Act as a technical advisor and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
• Full Stack Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable services using both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Cloud Integration: Utilize Microsoft Azure to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications. Implement cloud services such as Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Dev Ops.
• Microservices Architecture: Develop and maintain event-driven microservices using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python. Ensure services are scalable, resilient, and maintainable.
• Event-Driven Systems: Design and implement event-driven architectures using messaging systems like Azure Event Grid, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka.
• CI/CD: Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the development process and ensure high-quality code delivery.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications and processes.
• Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications, including troubleshooting and bug fixing.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of full-stack development experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Azure and cloud-based app development.
• Strong understanding of event-driven microservices architecture.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in:
