Job DescriptionThe Compute Scaled Manufacturing organization’s mission is to meet surging GPU demand for Oracle’s AI infrastructure by scaling the server qualification process to lift throughput and raise yields across all sites and products. We will standardize how we qualify new SKUs and suppliers, accelerate ramps, and ensure end‑to‑end lifecycle traceability and accountability. Success means faster time‑to‑production, predictable quality at scale, and a repeatable model to bring new products and factories online with minimal disruption.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will own the software design and development of major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. You should be a rock‑solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, capable of diving deep into any part of the stack and low‑level systems, as well as designing broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
After onboarding and learning existing systems, you would provide technical leadership to other software developers.
- Own software design and development of major Cloud Infrastructure components.
- Design, implement, and maintain distributed systems at large scale.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability across the stack.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Java, C, C++, C# or similar OO languages.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with REST API and service‑oriented development.
- Hands‑on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
- Experience delivering and operating large‑scale, highly available distributed systems.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
- Experience building multi‑tenant, virtualized infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of databases, No
SQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies. - Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
US:
Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 – $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
