• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with developing large‑scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• Experience in all of the following areas:
  Distributed Systems, Backend, Data Analytics.
• Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Python, Java.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  Big Data, Cloud, Data Analytics, Databases, Distributed Databases, Generative AI, Query Processing, Software Architecture.
• Experience building and shipping large‑scale services.
• Experience in high‑availability designs and parallel/horizontal scale‑out system architectures.
• Experience building transaction processing systems or larger‑scale analytics.
• Ability to foster product quality and collaboration, overseeing the engineering projects that encompass critical feature launches and research initiatives.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $141,000–$202,000 plus bonus, equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience and relevant education or training.

• Manage the challenges of shipping, and help build the next generation of data and AI infrastructure in the fluid Generative AI (GenAI) space.
• Design, develop, and own features in Big Query.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new capabilities from initial concept to final launch.
• Enhance the performance, reliability, and overall health of our production environment and improve the code base.
• Participate in design reviews and share the knowledge.
