As part of this effort, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Object Storage Service team is looking for hands‑on engineers with a passion for solving problems. You will be working on distributed systems, large‑scale storage, and highly available services. As a software engineer in this team, you will have the opportunity to own the design and development for major components and features of the Object Storage Service. You should be a solid coder, with interest in distributed systems. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn and be mentored.

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3–5+ years experience in software development, preferably in cloud technologies
• Strong knowledge of C++ / backend Java and meaningful experience with scripting languages such as Python
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and technologies used to build Microservices in the Cloud
• Knowledge of Cloud Storage Technologies will be considered a strong plus
• Strong knowledge or coursework in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Hiring Range in USD from $79,800 – $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity. Oracle offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary based on experience and market conditions.
