Developer - Software Engineer Sr

Blue Origin invites applications for the Senior Software Engineer role in the Lunar Permanence business unit, focused on developing Blue Moon landers and related systems.
Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.

• Software architecture level design and code development.
• Software unit level and integration testing.
• Conduct periodic code reviews and support software deployments.
• Coordinate interfaces, build schedules, and technical designs with cross-discipline software organization.
• Develop automation and tooling to improve team productivity and drive efficiency.

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 10+ years of demonstrated software development experience.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality software at a high cadence.
• Experience with real‑time embedded software on spacecraft or launch vehicle flight systems in C++ or Rust.
• Experience with full‑lifecycle software development from requirements through deployment.
• Experience with validation and verification approaches such as software unit testing, system simulation, hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, or integrated subsystem testing.
• Experience with software development in C, C++, Rust, Python.
• Experience with CI/CD systems deployment.
• Experience with collaboration and development tools such as Gitlab and Docker.
• Experience in flow‑down of system requirements to the software component level.
• Avionics hardware and software integration experience.
• Highly organized team player with excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.

• Previous experience with spacecraft navigation, orbital guidance, propulsive trajectory, and attitude control.
• Experience with software development under NASA NPR 7150.2D or FAA DO‑178C standards.
• Experience with NASA software, simulation tools, and environments (Trick/JEOD/cFS).
