Coupang Rocket Growth is a Coupang Fulfillment business that enables sellers to offer best‑in‑class delivery and post‑purchase experience to their customers. With the Rocket Growth business, sellers’ products are delivered to customers via our world‑class Rocket delivery network. Rocket Growth is the fastest‑growing team in Coupang and has an exciting roadmap of products and features in the pipeline.

You will be working in a fast‑paced environment along with a team of smart and passionate global engineers to design and implement various systems to meet the needs of the Rocket Growth business. You will also have direct ownership of new features for improving the Marketplace’s scalability, reliability, availability, extensibility, and performance. We care about both delighting customers and building high‑quality software, and we are looking for seniors with a proven record of accomplishment in designing and building large‑scale distributed systems.

• Work closely with the product team to define and prioritize features
• Make informed trade‑off decisions between speed and technical debt for feature launches
• Scale successful products and features for widespread site‑wide adoption

• Strong problem‑solving ability
• 5+ years of solid work with fundamental algorithms, system design, and distributed systems
• 5+ years of professional full‑stack experience using modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript / Typescript, Scala, Kotlin, C++, C#, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer Engineering
• Experience working on building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team
• Hands‑on expertise in many disparate technologies, ranging from front‑end user interfaces through to back‑end systems and all points in between
• Experience working backwards from the customer and delivering innovative, simple solutions.
