* About the Role:

**** Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Software Development Engineer will gather and analyze requirements. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US with manager's approval.
**** You Will:
***** Design, code, and test APIs, data storage solutions, and integration with third-party services.
* Identify and fix issues or bugs.
* Work with the team to quickly resolve problems and maintain system stability.
* Deliver features and projects on time.
* Actively participate in team meetings, discussing progress, challenges, and potential solutions with other team members and stakeholders.
* Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest backend technologies, tools, and best practices, refining skills.
* Receive guidance and mentorship from more senior engineers.
**** You Have:
***** Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of experience with software design, development, version control, testing, implementation, and debugging.
* 1 year of experience with delivering high-quality, high-readability, and scalable software solutions;
* 1 year of experience with writing comprehensive test suites with optimal coverage;
* 1 year of experience with HTTP protocols, Git, JSON, Rest APIs, Postgres, SQL, and unit testing suits; and
* 1 year of experience with React, Java script, and Java.
**** Compensation Details.
**** The starting base salary range for this position is typically $ - $ per year. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
