Aurora DSQL's dataplane teams are responsible for serverless query execution at scale and the query path includes several services including storage, query processing, transaction commit protocol and placement/hosting. The teams focus on security, correctness, durability, reliability and scale related problems in distributed systems.

The ideal candidate for this role has experience building large distributed cloud services or database internals, is able to work with senior technical leaders, and is able to invent simple and elegant solutions. They are able to design, implement and deliver cutting edge software systems and mentor junior team members. They thrive on creative and collaborative problem solving, and also enjoy the challenge of operating services at AWS scale.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services

A day in the life

As you design and code solutions to help our team drive efficiencies in software architecture, you’ll create metrics, implement automation and other improvements, and resolve the root cause of software defects. You’ll also:
