Application Development Lead - Facets

UST is searching for an experienced Application Development Lead
- Facets with strong Healthcare IT expertise and hands-on experience with the Tri Zetto/Cognizant Facets platform.

• Facets Application Development & Delivery
• Lead application development, enhancement, maintenance, and technical delivery for the Facets platform.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Membership, Claims, Workflow, and Accumulations modules.
• Database & Data Engineering
• Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL and SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.
• Perform execution-plan analysis and performance tuning for complex queries.
• C#/.NET & Integration Development
• Debug and troubleshoot C#/.NET applications supporting the Facets ecosystem.
• Perform stack trace analysis and identify root causes of application errors.
• hands-on implementation experience with real-time Facets API calls in at least two functional areas.
• Azure & Cloud Modernization
• Support migration of Facets-related applications and workloads to Microsoft Azure.
• Participate in lift-and-shift and application/data migration initiatives.
• Technical Leadership
• Provide technical guidance to developers and collaborate with architecture, QA, business, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Support root-cause analysis and resolution of production issues.
• Drive technical delivery across development, testing, deployment, integration, and production-support activities.
• Promote an AI-first and cloud-first approach, identifying opportunities for automation and workflow optimization.

• 5+ years of experience in Healthcare IT, with strong hands-on experience with the Facets platform.
• Strong experience across Facets modules including:
  • Membership
  • Claims
  • Workflow
  • Accumulations
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • PL/SQL
  • Oracle
  • SQL Server
  • SSIS
  • C#
  • .NET
• Experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, data-correction scripts, and performing execution-plan/performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Facets upgrades, vendor integrations, and data migrations.
• Experience designing and developing custom Facets extensions and configuration components.
• Strong SSIS development and troubleshooting experience for ETL/data migration pipelines.
• Experience debugging C#/.NET applications, including stack trace analysis and integration-layer troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing real-time Facets API calls in at least two functional areas.
• Strong understanding of Healthcare/Payer application ecosystems and data flows.
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud migration and modernization.
  • Hands-on exposure to:
    • Azure SQL
    • Azure Data Factory
    • Lift-and-shift migrations
    • Hybrid connectivity
  • Experience with automation and workflow optimization.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled application development or automation solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis skills.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership across distributed development and support teams.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
