Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Import Specialist for an import and logistics organization based in downtown Seattle, WA. This role is 100% onsite.

Position OverviewThe Senior Import Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of all inbound perishable and refrigerated shipments. This position supports cross-team collaboration, import compliance, and efficient logistics operations within a fast-paced environment. The role offers the opportunity to join a highly collaborative team undergoing growth and process improvements.

- Manage and update import status for all inbound shipments in company systems
- Serve as the primary liaison with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and cold storage partners
- Oversee timely delivery of containers while mitigating risks such as demurrage and detention
- Coordinate container disposition and ensure efficient delivery to cold storage partners
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, company security initiatives, and C-TPAT standards
- Review and interpret international shipping documentation and stay current on changing import requirements
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs, FDA regulations, import compliance, and seafood‑specific import requirements
- Experience working with international freight, containerized shipping, and refrigerated/perishable cargo
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with customs filing software preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
