Reports To:
The Courier/Driver will report to the Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, or equivalent leadership.
The Courier/Driver provides exceptional delivery and courier services. This position receives orders from a centralized dispatch, retrieves parcels/mail from different local offices, and then delivers the parcels/mail in a timely and safe manner. The position will also serve as a backup to the front or back of office functions. Overall, this position continuously offers the highest level of service to all client and SPS employees while maintaining a professional image of the company by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Provides 5-star customer service to all employees (in all forms of communication).
- Travels a predefined courier route via automobile to deliver mail and parcels throughout the campus.
- Keeps log and time stamp of items received and delivered.
- Supports chain of custody requirements defined within the operating procedures.
- Performs pick-up and delivery of jobs by accurately following a map and/or written instructions.
- Follows Operational Service Excellence performance requirements.
- Responds to client requests, ensuring the accuracy of the order taken and delivery of the completed orders in a timely manner.
- Completes all paperwork in a timely, accurate and legible manner.
- Maintains compliance with state and company standards by operating a vehicle in a safe and lawful manner and following company guidelines in the event of an accident and/or injury.
- Presents professional appearance to clients by dressing in professional attire according to company standards.
- Has a responsibility for vehicle safety by maintaining routine maintenance on all delivery vehicles (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) according to company specifications.
- Services vehicle driven, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel.
- Delivers mail and parcels throughout the campus.
- Performs pick-up and delivery.
- Responds to client requests accurately and in a timely manner.
- Services the vehicle driven.
- Proactively seeks out additional work during downtime.
- Builds professional relationships with customers and other teams.
- Maintains professionalism and composure when interacting with all employees.
- Trains back-up and provides guidance on policies and procedures.
- Determines what additional support is needed when handling sensitive inquiries.
- Provides exceptional customer service to client.
- Provides front or back of office coverage as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of MFD equipment.
- Requires knowledge and understanding of shipping/receiving procedures and ability to comprehend instructions.
- Possesses ability to work independently and capable of completing projects.
- Ability to determine correct method and packing material as well as validate packing slips for accuracy of incoming and outgoing materials.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- 2+ years prior work experience preferred.
- Current state-issued driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work assigned work hours determined by manager.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Current knowledge or ability to learn computer-based systems required for functions of position.
- Required to maintain an overall professional appearance and attitude.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures required.
- Approximately 50% of the time this position requires the below physical demands.
- Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
- Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.).
- Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently.
- Physical and mental ability to operate a standard company motor vehicle.
Local travel required.

Pay Range$22 - $23 USD
