Lead Driver

Northwest Center's iconic Big Blue Truck division is looking for a Lead Driver to join our team! This is an active, hands-on position where you will complete local pick-ups, oversee donation stations, perform bin services and maintenance, and assist with warehouse operations. You will not only operate company vehicles but also grow your leadership skills to mentor and support team members, ensuring the successful completion of daily tasks and long-term goals.

As a Lead Driver, you will help reinforce BBT's "Safety Above All" culture, collaborate with management to optimize operations and provide excellent customer service by sharing information about Northwest Center's mission and the impact of community donations. Sea Tac, WA

Schedule:

Full-time;
Monday & Friday 7 AM - 3:30 PM Saturday & Sunday 6 AM - 6:30 PM Starting Wage Range: $23.50 - $26.00 per hour | Full Wage Range : $23.50 - $27.07 per hour Benefits:

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Warehouse Operations
  • Safely operate box trucks for donation pick-ups, bin servicing, and store deliveries
  • Perform warehouse tasks, including loading, unloading, and organizing donations
  • Train staff on truck operations, DOT compliance, and routing tools
Leadership & Team Support
  • Guide and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Assist with inventory tracking, reporting, and compliance documentation
  • Support weekend operations and escalate issues to management as needed

Safety & Customer Service

  • Enforce OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards
  • Conduct facility and equipment safety checks
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring proper donation handling and issue resolution

Requirements:

  • Valid Washington State Driver's License
  • One (1) year of customer service experience
  • Clean five (5) year driving record
  • Understanding of Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). vehicle standards
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Ability to lift goods weighing 50lbs consistently, and on occasion up to 70lbs
