Hourly rate: $24.00 per hour (California)

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical equipment repair.
• Act as backup for call person in case of emergency, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Handle all equipment safely to prevent accidents and demonstrate good working knowledge of tools and their safe use.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete reports as requested.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, test and start the generator once a week; maintain fire alarm systems, fire doors, audible and visible alarms, smoke detectors, and record data on appropriate forms.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing systems, replacing or repairing faucets, toilets, urinals, traps, drains, basins, and bathtubs as needed; repair or refine furniture in rooms, offices, and dining areas as required.

• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
