Assignment Details

  • APP Coverage: 8 hours during offseason; 10 hours during peak season

• Dedicated Senior ER for geriatric patients

• Duration: Ongoing locums coverage

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of emergency medical conditions
• Provide leadership and supervision for APPs and ED staff during shifts
• Stabilize critically ill and injured patients, and coordinate admissions or transfers when necessary
• Collaborate with nursing staff and hospitalists to maintain efficient patient flow and ensure high‑quality care
• Accurately document all patient encounters using the MEDHOST EMR system

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM required)
• Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current ACLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications
• Two or more years of recent emergency department experience preferred
